Scottish Co-investment Fund

The Scottish Co-investment Fund (SCF) is a £72 million equity investment fund set up by Scottish Enterprise to invest between £100,000 and £1 million in company finance deals of up to £2 million.

Investment is delivered by matching the funds provided by partners like Braveheart. An important part of the SCF concept is that the partner (rather than the public sector) makes the investment decision and handles both pre and post investment management.

Braveheart was one of the first partners announced under the scheme, which started operating in April 2003.

Scottish Venture Fund

The Scottish Venture Fund (SVF) is an equity investment fund set up by Scottish Enterprise to participate in investments of between £2 million and £10 million in privately owned, Scottish-based companies.

SVF can invest from £500,000 to £2 million per investment and this sum will always be matched by at least one of the SVF's investment partners.

Braveheart was announced as one of the first fund partners soon after the SVF launch in October 2006.
